CSAR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We coordinate, educate, and advocate for Colorado’s all-volunteer backcountry search and rescue teams and partners. The thousands of altruistic backcountry search and rescue responders come from small towns and big cities to give all they can to help anyone in need. These responders charge nothing and often not only give their time but must pay out of pocket to provide these vital services. Along with the stresses of being on call 24/7, SAR incidents often challenge responders both emotionally and physically. The heritage of these responders is to give to and provide for their communities. CSAR speaks for these responders and strives to ensure we, Colorado and beyond, are taking care of those who give so much to our communities and the Colorado way of life through SAR. Please consider a donation to help support Backcountry Search and Rescue in Colorado.
